Turn your
distraction into
your superpower
Drift intercepts the distracting apps with a single journaling prompt — personalized & powerful. Over time it gets sharper, making you live more intentionally.
How it Works
Three things happen every time you open your phone. Here's what they are.

The Pause
Before the feed loads
Right before you open TikTok, Instagram, or whatever pulls you in, Drift shows up first. Not to stop you. Just to give you a second to be here before you're somewhere else.

The Question
Set an intention
Instead of a feed, you get one question. It's different in the morning than it is at midnight. It's built around where you actually are right now — not where some generic app thinks you should be.

Pattern Engine
Build better habits over time
Every unlock attempt logged. Every redirect tracked. After 14 days, Drift returns a picture of your attention you have genuinely never been able to see before this.

Founders note
Hi friend,
Founders note
Hi friend,

A note on why we built drift
When Steve Jobs put the iPhone in our pockets, nobody knew what we were signing up for. It was exciting. It was new. And for a while, it felt like pure progress.
Nearly two decades later, the research is catching up. Early cognitive decline in young adults. Rising rates of anxiety, depression, and fractured attention. A generation that grew up with infinite scroll before they grew up at all.
My honest fear is that we become the people in Wall-E. Alive but dormant. Screens in our faces while life happens at the edges.
Nobody is coming to save us from this. Not the platforms. Not the regulators. Not a future version of ourselves who finally has more willpower.
So we built Drift.
Not to take your phone away or make you feel bad about checking it. But to intercept the moment, that reflexive reach when you're bored, and turn it into thirty seconds of reflection. A question worth answering. A thought worth keeping.
Overtime, that urge transforms into a positive ritual.
We're just getting started, and we couldn't be more excited to put this into the world. We hope it gives you back something you didn't realize you'd been giving away.
